# Can I ride if I am under 18?

We follow standard industry policies for unaccompanied minors:

* Riders must be **18 or older** to have a Hitch account and request rides.
* Riders under 18 must be **accompanied by someone 18 or older**.
* **Minors cannot ride alone**, even if dropped off or picked up by an adult.

Drivers may request proof of age (e.g., driver’s license) and may decline a rider they believe is under 18.

Rides booked for unaccompanied minors will be canceled, and **no refund will be issued**.
