After submitting your driver application on the Hitch app, you will be returned to the home screen. Your application has successfully been sent in for review and approval.
Approval Time
We're a small team; approval can take time as we manually manage each application. We are always hiring drivers, so if your application is in process, we will move it through the approval flow as best we can.
Common reasons for delays include factors such as incomplete information on applications, discrepancies in submitted documents, or high application volume. Ensuring that all submitted details are accurate and up-to-date can help minimize delays.
Watch your email for the next step. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide specific status updates right now. Wait time may vary depending on the validity of your documents and the processing time for the background check. Usually this happens within a few days. During the background check phase, you will receive an email from our partnered background check service provider with further instructions. Be sure to follow these instructions promptly and check both your inbox and your spam folder for updates. To ensure timely communication, confirm that your contact details, such as email and phone number, are accurate within your Hitch app profile.
Approval Notification
You will receive an email with your approval once you've been accepted as a driver. This email will provide the final steps to start driving with Hitch. Once approved, please review the Driver's Resources tab in-app. It has all the information to be successful with Hitch.
Upon receiving your approval email, ensure you carefully follow the steps outlined to complete your onboarding process, including activating your profile and preparing to accept trips.
