At our core, Hitch is about bringing people together. We connect people to communities, opportunities, moments, and memories. The people we connect with, our fantastic rider and driver community, are made up of every race, gender identity, religion, marital status, economic status, and sexual orientation. Our diverse and vibrant community comes together to take back the road trip, making travel between cities fun again.
We love this community. We love their stories. We love their connections. We love their diverse make-up. We believe that a community of different cultures, values, and norms should be celebrated, respected, and always made to feel welcome. As an organization, we always want to create an atmosphere that promotes empathy, acceptance, and understanding.
To that end, all of us in the Hitch community agree to read and act under the following policy to ensure that our mission of welcoming connections continues.
Hitch prohibits discrimination against users based on race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. Such discrimination includes but is not limited to, any user refusing to provide or accept services based on these characteristics. Any user found to have violated this prohibition will lose access to the Hitch platform. Applicable laws in certain jurisdictions may require and/or allow the provision of services by and for the benefit of a specific category of persons. Services that comply with these laws and the relevant applicable terms are permissible under this policy in such jurisdictions.
