Minors are not allowed to ride unaccompanied with Hitch

While we hope to accommodate our riders in as many situations as possible, we follow industry-standard rules regarding unaccompanied minors.

First, users must be at least 18 years of age to have a Hitch account, request rides, or be a driver.

Any rider under 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older on any ride. Unfortunately, minors cannot ride unaccompanied even if escorted and picked up by an adult who does not ride.

Drivers can ask any rider to confirm proof of age by providing a driver's license or another form of legal ID. Drivers do have the right to decline a rider should they believe that the user is under the age of 18.

Rides booked for minors traveling alone will be canceled, and a refund will not be issued.
